1. What are Top Links Lists?

Top Links Lists are lists of the most popular links on your links pages. Link popularity is based on how frequently a link is clicked on by users visiting your links pages. LinksManager monitors the activity of each link in your account and ranks a link according to how much unique traffic it receives.

Top Links Lists can be displayed in a number of locations and in many different visual formats. A full set of Cosmetic Controls allows for each visual element of a Top Links List to be determined.

3. Does LinksManager track incoming links to my website?

It is technically impossible for LinksManager to track incoming links to your homepage or your links pages.

Those tracking systems will tell you exactly how much traffic is coming into your website and from where. It will also show you how much traffic is coming from your link swap
partners.

5. Can I "force" a link into a spot on a Top Links List?

Yes - You can force any Active Link into any spot on any or all Top Links Lists. This is done to give a particular link a "premium" spot and appear to be more popular.

To force an Active Link into a spot on a Top Links List, the list must first exist. Search for or open your Active Links List, and select the link you want to place. Click on the link's Website Name to view the detail record for that link. At the bottom of the detail record, view the group of controls labeled "Top Link List Preferred Placement." By default, the link appears in the list according to its click ranking. To force the link into a specific position, click the drop-down list, select the position, and save your changes. The link will now appear in the position you selected.

If a link is forced into a spot that is currently being occupied by another link, the new link will take its place.
