If you signed up for a LinksManager account, you have accepted our Terms of Service Agreement. The Terms of Service agreement clearly states:
"LinksManager is free for the first 30 days. After 30 days of trying the service, the base price is charged to your card according to our pricing schedule. By agreeing to these terms and conditions, you hereby understand and agree that the account fee will be charged to your credit card every month."
You are free to cancel at any time.

- 2. Why was I charged during the first 30 days?
|
When you sign up for LinksManager service, the LinksManager billing system runs a $19.95 charge on your card and then it voids the charge 15 minutes later. This is done to insure your card is not stolen or fraudulent. This method is used by thousands of other online services in an effort to reduce and/or eliminate fraud when offering a timed trial.
Please note that this information is provided on the LinksManager Registration form.
Any initial activity you see on your credit card account is simply our fraud checking activity and not an actual charge for service.
Some bank card companies will show the activity on the account, especially if the account is a secured card account, high risk account, or international account. Some banks also show this activity as "funds reserved" but the funds are not actually debited from the account. Some banks apply the credit back to your card before your hard copy end of month statement is printed.
Unfortunately, we do not have control over why some bank card companies show this activity. The bank card companies encourage companies like LinksManager to run authentication charges and then voids when new accounts signup for a 30 day trial in order to combat fraud.
You can confirm this by calling your card company and inquiring as to why they are showing this activity. They will most likely tell you it is not a "settled" or "captured" transaction which means the funds are still in your card account.
If you feel this is in error and the charge has been permanently posted to your account, please contact your bank and they should be able to explain why this activity is appearing on your account. If the bank tells you that the charge indeed is settled, please contact us via the Helpdesk.

- 3. I referred a new customer, but was still charged. What happened?

If you referred a new account to us but did not receive a month of free service for it, there are four possible reasons:
First, the referred account cancelled service within the initial 30 day trial period and was never billed. You will not receive credit for this account referral.
Second, the referred account has not yet completed one billing cycle. After the account completes one billing cycle (one month) your account will be credited.
Third, the referred account is delinquint or their credit card information is incorrect. For this reason, we were unable to bill their account.
Fourth, you referred a new account to us but did not use your unique referral URL. If this is the case, please submit a support request at our Helpdesk, and let us know which account you referred and we will verify and add the referral credit manually to your account.
Also remember that accounts are billed each month on the day they sign up. So, if you signed up for your account on January 5th, and refer a new account on January 10th, the new referral won't be billed until February 10th. On February 5th you will be billed, as the referral credit is not yet in your account. On February 10th when the account you referred is billed, your account will recieve one referral credit. On March 5th, the referral credit will be applied to your account, and you will not receive a bill.
