- 1. Does LinksManager display Google PageRank™?
|
LinksManager displays Google PageRank™ in the pending links queue list, and the modify/delete active links list within your account. LinksManager also displays PageRank on the individual detail screen for any link in your account.
When viewing links in the list views (approve delete pending links, and modify/delete active links), we do not display the traditional PageRank graphic due to space constraints. Reference this key for the listview displays:
- Not Available (or blank) PR = null (greybar)
- U = Updating.. LinksManager is currently updating the PageRank data for that link and it will display shortly.
- 0-10 is the value of the Google PageRank for that site.
LinksManager displays PageRank as a additional informational feature to help you make the best linking decisions for your link building campaign. LinksManager asks you to make linking decisions first and foremost based on what benefits your end user - and not solely based on the PageRank of a given site.
If a quality site relevant to your own has a low or no PageRank (typically due to the age of the site), get the link first and foremost. Make linking decisions for the end user, not for PageRank.

- 2. I am having trouble seeing changes I made to my links pages. Do I have to refresh every time that I make a change to my links pages?
|
It depends on your browser's cache settings. Most browsers do not check for newer versions of a page each time it is requested. Check your browser's cache settings to see if the browser is checking for newer versions each time a page is requested. You can always refresh the page manually by right clicking on it and then clicking "refresh".

- 4. Does LinksManager let me know if one of my link partners is employing "nofollow" in any way?
|
Yes. When LinksManager spiders the websites of your link partners, it will report if "nofollow" is encountered.
According to Wikipedia.org: "nofollow is an HTML attribute value used to instruct search engines that a hyperlink should not influence the link target's ranking in the search engine's index. It is intended to reduce the effectiveness of certain types of spamdexing, thereby improving the quality of search engine results and preventing spamdexing from occurring in the first place."
Some webmasters employ the use of nofollow to make link exchanges appear to be one way links favoring their own website.
LinksManager does not allow the use of nofollow anywhere in the LinksManager system. However, we cannot keep webmasters who do not use LinksManager from using nofollow.
LinksManager will report the use of nofollow by showing positive link reciprocation in the form of a burgundy colored YES in the pending links and modify/delete list views in your account.
You can search through all of your links for any sites using the nofollow attribute by clicking on SEARCH LINKS within your LinksManager account, then under the RECIPROCATING modifier, select "no follow attribute".
