| Add a new link to your links page. | Time Spent: 12 minutes. You receive an email from a webmaster who wants his link added to your site. You open your FTP software and download your links pages. Next, you launch your HTML editor, code the new link and FTP the edited links pages back to the server. After checking to make sure the link was posted correctly, you can finally email the webmaster and tell him his link has been added. |
Time Spent: 1 minute. The webmaster adds his link to your LinksManager link-pending queue. You receive an email telling you have a new link to approve. Or you can check your link-pending queue directly from your browser using the free LinksManager Toolbar. With one mouse click, you immediately add the link to one or more of your link pages and send the webmaster an email telling him his link has been approved and added. |
| Check for and delete "dead" links. | Time Spent: 45 minutes. Open your links pages in your web browser. Click each link and wait for it to either open or return an error message. Write each dead link's URL on a piece of paper or copy and paste it into a note application. Launch your FTP software, download your links pages, open your HTML editor and delete the dead links. FTP the edited links pages back to the server. Check to make sure the pages were updated correctly. |
Time Spent: 0 minutes. LinksManager has automatically checked all your links overnight and flagged and temporarily removed any dead ones from your links pages. Republish the pages with your FTP program and use your browser to check that the code is working properly. |

Open your browser and search the web to try and find a site that might be willing to give you a one-way link based on the benefit your site's contents offers their end users. Handcraft a customized an email to the webmaster requesting a backlink and explaining what it is about your site that justifies your request. |
Time Spent: 0 minutes LinksManager automatically presents webmasters requesting a link to your site with a list of your link categories. Finding a highly compatible category on your site, the webmaster proceeds to place a one-way link to your site on his site. While live that link will remain a backlink to your site unless and until you opt to convert it into a two-way link by reciprocating it. |
